Machame gate to Machame Camp
The trek begins from machame gate with a scenic walk through the rainforest. You'll follow a well-trodden trail surrounded by trees and vibrant greenery. As you make your way toward Machame Camp, you’ll enjoy the peaceful sounds of the forest, setting the stage for the adventure ahead.

Day 2

Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Today, you will leave the rainforest behind and enter a new terrain of heath and moorland. The path is relatively gradual, offering great views of the mountain. As you move toward Shira Camp, the landscape will change to wide, open spaces with scattered shrubs and rocky outcrops.

Day 3

Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

After reaching Lava Tower, you will descend towards Barranco Camp, where you’ll find a more diverse landscape with lush vegetation.

Day 4

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Today, you will trek from Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp. The terrain will be challenging with a steep ascent followed by a gradual descent, but the scenery is absolutely stunning. You'll enjoy panoramic views of the mountain and its surrounding landscapes as you make your way towards Karanga Camp.

Day 6

Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp
